About the Owner and Trainer-
Brittanie Pivinski is the owner and trainer for Modern Day Dog Training. Brittanie opened Modern Day Dog Training, LLC in November of 2014 in Tacoma, Washington. March of 2022, she relocated Modern Day Dog Training to Queen Creek, Arizona. She is proud to have served Tacoma and the surrounding areas for 8 years with quality positive reinforcement training and is now looking forward to serving those in Arizona as well.
Brittanie has a history of volunteering her time with local humane societies, training the at-risk dogs their basic manners while also working with the fearful dogs. Brittanie has learned a lot by working with the dogs at the humane society, all the dogs that are in the shelter system have different personalities and struggles. She really enjoys working with the shelter dogs and ensuring they get into their forever homes.
Brittanie decided to continue her education and enrolled in the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior. She graduated in October of 2014 and is now a KPA- CTP (Karen Pryor Academy, Certified Training Partner). Brittanie is a certified positive reinforcement clicker trainer. She is also a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild, an organization representing pet industry professionals who are dedicated to the use of science based training methods.
Brittanie has a passion and love for the Bully Breeds as she had a 14 year old rescued American Pit Bull Terrier named Quincy, who passed away on November 11th, 2024. Quincy played a big part in Brittanie’s ambitions of becoming a professional dog trainer, he even had to attend the Karen Pryor Academy with her! His passing was devastating to say the least, but Brittanie’s goal is to keep his legacy alive and continue to train dogs and their people who need help. Afterall, he is the reason Modern Day Dog Training exists today. Quincy retired from being the “Assistant Trainer” around 9 years of age and spent his retirement basking in the sun and taking the best care of his Potbelly Pig siblings. Brittanie enjoys being a Bully Breed advocate and educating people on how truly wonderful the Bully Breeds really are.
Brittanie resides in Queen Creek, Arizona.
