About Brittanie Pivinski, Owner of Modern Day Dog Training

Brittanie Pivinski is the proud owner and trainer of Modern Day Dog Training, LLC, which she founded in November 2014 in Tacoma, Washington. For eight years, Brittanie served Tacoma and the surrounding communities, providing high-quality, positive reinforcement dog training. In March 2022, she relocated Modern Day Dog Training to Queen Creek, Arizona, where she is excited to bring her expertise and passion to a new community of dog lovers.

Brittanie’s journey into professional dog training began with her dedication to helping shelter dogs. She volunteered her time at local humane societies, working with at-risk dogs to teach them basic manners and build confidence in fearful dogs. Through these experiences, Brittanie developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges and personalities of shelter animals, finding joy in helping them transition into their forever homes. Her goal in starting Modern Day Dog Training was to help keep dogs in their homes so that they don’t end up in shelters.

To further her education and refine her skills, Brittanie enrolled in the prestigious Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior, graduating in October 2014. She is a Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP) and a certified positive reinforcement clicker trainer. Brittanie is also a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild, an organization committed to science-based, humane training methods.

Brittanie’s passion and love for Bully Breeds run deep, inspired by her beloved American Pit Bull Terrier, Quincy. A rescued soul who lived to the incredible age of 14, Quincy was much more than a dog—he was Brittanie’s muse, her companion, and the driving force behind her journey to becoming a professional dog trainer. Quincy’s passing on November 11, 2024, was a devastating loss, but his legacy continues to shine through Brittanie’s work with dogs and their families.

Quincy was by Brittanie’s side every step of the way, even attending the Karen Pryor Academy with her as her steadfast “Assistant Trainer.” He retired at the age of 9 to a life of sunbathing and lovingly watching over his potbelly pig siblings. His gentle spirit and unwavering love were a constant reminder of why Brittanie started Modern Day Dog Training—to help dogs and their people build stronger bonds.

Though Quincy may no longer be here, his impact lives on in every dog Brittanie trains. She remains a proud advocate for Bully Breeds, striving to educate others on how truly wonderful and misunderstood these dogs can be. Quincy’s story is the heart and soul of Modern Day Dog Training, and Brittanie is dedicated to honoring his memory by continuing to help those who need it most.

Brittanie resides in Queen Creek, Arizona.
